More than thirty years ago Fernando an economist laureate from Ciudad de Mexico left everything behind and moved to Tulum to seek a journey of a lifetime in a no man’s land. From fisherman to diver he discovered his true passion in the turquoise waters of the caribbean and the crystal clear caves of the mayan peninsula. Founding the first dive center in Tulum in 1993 and becoming one of the first cave explorers in the region along with Steve Gerard and the NACD team which mapped several of the caves and cenotes that we dive today.
